Ballinhassig 4-2, Shamrocks 3-3
This league is a 10 a side is pilot project by Rebel Óg and both teams played their first game of the season on Saturday in Shanbally. There was plenty of excellent hurling on offer on both sides in this three periods of 15 minutes games. Ballinhassig won by 2 points on the day but the 15 Shamrocks lads hurled their hearts out and for most of them, this was their first ever competitive Gaelic Games match. Well done to all players, to the youthful managers on the Shamrocks sideline, to Mark Hitchmough who reffed the game excellently and to the supporters who were present on the line.
