U14 HL V Crosshaven – 21/6

Shamrocks 7-13, Crosshaven 3-4

A comfortable win for the u14 hurlers on Tuesday evening against Crosshaven. This was their first win of the season at hurling but it had been coming as the lads were keen, enthusiastic and have definately been improving.

After Crosshaven scored an early goal, Shamrocks settled down and the two Andrews boys Harry and Seán were in good form, and soon had 2-5 on the board. Mark Sisk was having a great battle at midfield with the Crosshaven midfielder and also got on he scoresheet. Shamrocks went in at HT leading 4-9 to 1-1.

The full panel of 16 players that togged off were rotated throughout the second half and everyone made a valuable contribution on what was Shamrocks best hurling display of the year. Some players played in new and different positions and not a word of complaint and it was great to see the attitude of the players. Well done to them all and also a big thanks to our support on the line who cheered on every score and play. Hurling training on Saturday morning at 11.15am.
