U21 BFC V Kinsale – 28/3

 

Shamrocks 3-17, Kinsale 1-7

 

Shamrocks are through to the quarter finals of the B championship after beating Kinsale in Round 1 in Minane Bridge on Easter Monday. Shamrocks were always in control of this game and two early goals from David O’Sullivan and Andrew O’Grady settled them. Further points from those two players along with David Andrews, Darragh Scriven, Brendan Crowley and Aonghus Boland left them ahead at the break 2-10 to 0-3.

 

Kinsale were an improved team in the second half and scored 1-3 in the space of 5 minutes midway through the second half. But Shamrocks remained in control through a goal from sub Chris Hayes with further points from O’Grady, Scriven, Boland, Andrews and Shane Kelleher who had ventured up the field. They play Ballygarvan in the quarter finals.
