Shamrocks 4-7 , St Vincents 6-9
Shamrocks started our season last Saturday in Shanbally where we played a strong St. Vincents side in the U16 C league. We held our own in the first half but found the going difficult in the second period when we played against a very strong wind. Great credit is due to the players and to Tim Hayes & Jed for running the line. A lot of our players are just out of the U14 age group and is a credit to them that they put up such a good performance against a much stronger and bigger team. The final score was 6-09 to 4-07. We travel to play Castlelyons this Sunday where we hope to see more players turn out for the club.
