Shamrocks 6-12, Crosshaven 4-11
Shamrocks got off to a flying start against Crosshaven on a beautiful Thursday evening at a busy Shanbally pitch. They were 2-5 to 0-0 ahead after 15 minutes before Crosshaven started to come more into the game. David O’Sullivan and Chris Hayes did most of the scoring damage with some nice scores coming from other players. Crosshaven then scored 2-4 themselves to lead the HT score standing at 5-5 to 2-4 for Shamrocks.
The second half was even enough with both teams dominating. Shamrocks again started the stronger and scored 1-4 early on before Crosshaven came back into it and made a right go of cutting the defecit. They brough it back to 7 points but that was as close as it got as Shamrocks had enough work done earlier in the game to win. Hurling this Saturday at home to Vincents.
