Shamrock 1-14, Tracton 2-6
This well contested league game was close for much of the hour with Tracton leading 1-5 to 1-4 at halftime. In the second half Shamrocks changed their game and played more direct football and the scores came regularly. With ten minutes to go Shamrocks led 1-11 to 1-6 but a well taken goal from Tracton closed the gap to two points. The Shamrocks reaction was to lift their game and they kicked three splendid points to record a merited win.
