Fortunately for the Club, a break in the recent incessant deluge, allowed this years event to go ahead on Sunday 27th. As usual the entrants young and not so old assembled across the road from the newly renovated Oratory, ready for the task on hand. Despite the drop in temperature and the wet roads some excellent scores were recorded in all categories.

As in previous years the trophies were sponsored by Mr. Mark Hickey of The Shamrock Bar. The presentations were made by the Club’s esteemed Chairman Mr. Pat McCarthy.
Pat was loud in his praise for Mark and his staff and for his overall support for our Club. He went on to thank all the participants and the persons who acted as stewards and helpers. A special expression of thanks and gratitude was extended to Mrs. Geraldine Twomey who was quietly working in the kitchen preparing soup and sandwiches for a large group of deserving participants.
This event brought down the curtain on another year for our Club and thankfully on a high and positive note. 2016 becons, and the very first event on the new calendar will be the Clubs Lotto scheduled for The Shamrock Bar on Monday January 4th at 9pm. There is an attractive Jackpot of €2200 to be won for someone.
The Officers and Executive Committee of the Club extends every good wish to all its members, friends and supporters for 2016.
