A big thank you to the parents who travelled on Sunday to the top of Dunderrow for this fixture. Your help getting the team to the matches is vital.

The top of the hill is wide open at Kinsales new ground and the wind was the real deciding factor for this fixture. Both teams scored more or less the same against the wind, with Shamrocks scoring 1-03 in the first half and Kinsale scoring 1-04 in the second. So the advantage went with the team with wind. Kinsale and Shamrocks had a fairly even spread of talent around the pitch but Kinsale took their chances in the first half while Shamrocks were unluky not to score yhree goals extra in the second. Good goal keeping from the Kinsale number 1 and the uprights stopping our forwards.
It was a good flowing game and a pleasure to watch but it hurts me as much as the players when we walk off the pitch thinking of what might have been. You can do better all-round!
James Lynam came to me on the pitch after and apologised for not doing better. My message to him and anyone else who felt the same way….. Learn from this loss. Remember that ache in your gut after and if you don’t want to feel it again. Try Harder!!! I said at the start of the year that ye could be champions.

Champions don’t just happen they work hard and earn their status.

In the words of one great.

“Dont practice til you get it right… practice til you cant get it wrong “

See you at training…
