The death has been announced of Jerry Kelleher R.I.P, Shanbally. Jerry, who was a previous owner of the local shop endeared himself to us all since he first took up residence in Shanbally, many years ago.
An extroverted man, he served as a physical trainer of the Shamrock Junior teams and with his experience he brought new levels and dimensions to this field. His outgoing personality endeared him to the countless people he encountered over the years. He was a great conversationalist and he spent many an intriguing hour In the Shamrock with the Captain and Finny teasing out the finer points and issues of various topics. We will all miss Jerry greatly.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to his dear wife Rita, his daughter Carmel and sons Kieran, Brian and Diarmuid, his many relatives and friends.
