U12 FL V Tracton – 11/4

Shamrocks 2-7, Tracton 1-2

Shamrocks u12’s made sure of their second victory of the season with an assured second half performance today against a resilient Tracton side.

Shamrocks were made to fight hard for this victory and indeed, the sides were level up until Cian O’Flaherty’s long free from out the field produced a goal with almost the last kick of the first half. Shamrocks led by 1-2 to 0-2 at HT.

With that boost, Shamrocks grew in confidence in the second half and took over and the result was never in doubt. Adam Maye scored the second goal midway through the second half to put matters fully beyond doubt. The lads played some excellent football and improved as the game went on.

The management team of Stephen Keane, Seamus O’Flynn, assisted by John Jordan and Catherine Sisk were very pleased with the outcome and the performance of the players. In particular, they would like to thank all the supporters, parents and siblings for ensuring a great turnout on such short notice.
