Crosshaven 12-8, Shamrocks 4-3
Once again to read the score line would give the wrong impression. Yes Shamrocks went down but went down fighting and all hands played. By the end of the match, though dejected, the Shamrocks players kept going, looking to score right to the end. A great big thank you to all the players for the supreme effort.
I will not go through the players and single out individual enterprise, or point out mistakes this is not the forum for such discussion. Instead let me ask those who have witnessed both of our matches, players included, to reflect on the improvement throughout and be mindful of the fact that these young players will only improve individually and collectively as a team by such experience. There is a long season there and at the end of it, this team will be a team that this club, like this banisteóir, will be proud of. Keep up the hard work.
