David Nolan, manager when calling out the individual players spoke some fine words about each one. The next up was the U16 East Board Hurling Championship and League along with the East Board U16 Football Championship. Manager Kevin O’Grady spoke about this team and trainer Gareth Flynn called out each player individually to receive his medals. The final medal presentation was for the Minor Hurling County league and Championship double. The players here were called out here by Dick Andrews. The music was supplied by local band ATOM and no sooner had Maurice and Anthony started, it was obvious that everyone had their dancing shoes on. Helen Prout got all the ladies out on the floor with her rendition of “He took her down to Gobby”. This set the tone for the night and it was great to see all young and old out enjoying themselves.
All in all in was a fantastic night that was enjoyed by all. Once again we would like to thank the staff of Monkstown Golf Club, all our teams, mentors, members and supporters who attended. Alan Cadogen for presenting the medals. ATOM who supplied the music. A special mention must go to Ann Hitchmough, Rosarie Hayes, Peter Crowley & John Twomey Ringaskiddy who organised this event and ensured it was a huge success.
