The underage shared a lovely occasion on Sunday morning in Shanbally Church when Fr Seán celebrated a Mass in honour of the underage teams in 2014 and their success. Everything went off smoothly with the readings and prayers of the faithful being read by members of the Minor and U16 teams. All the members of those panels brought a splash of green to the church in their club tracksuits, along with the team mentors. There was a good sprinkling of players from all the other teams and their mentors as well. The 7 trophies that were won during the year were also on display in the church.
Thanks to all who made this such a great occasion. Thanks to Fr Seán (an accomplished footballer himself from Bantry Blues) who remarked that it was great to see not just success for the teams but anything that brings together young people with a common purpose at a local level. Thanks also to Jaquai Scriven and the choir who sang faith of our fathers among others.
The Adult club were represented by Club Chairperson Pat McCarthy and Treasurer John Twomey (Treasurer). The underage committee were represented by chairperson John Twomey (Ringaskiddy), Paddy Andrews (Treasurer) and our new underage Secretary Jonathan Tuohy. Best of luck Jonathan.
Afterwards, the Club made a donation to The Oratory Restoration Project (Click here)
