Schools Visit to Monkstown NS

Members of the Juvenile Club visited Monkstown National School last Thursday to show the boys and girls of the school the trophies that the club won in 2014. All 7 trophies were on display and were received by the Principal, Ciara Iníon Ni Bhuaigh. The event was organised by Jaquai Scriven, herself a member of the staff and it was a particularly proud occasion for her as her 2 sons, Darragh and Cormac were on hand to show the trophies. 2 other proud Monks were also present, both former pupils of the school – our Minor Hurling captain Aonghus Boland and Club Coaching Officer Pa Andrews.

The group visited every class and were received with a bualadh bos láimhe in every room.  Its not often the local club brings SEVEN trophies to a school. Our thanks to the Principal, Jaquai, and all the members of staff for accommodating the club, during a busy time in the lead up to Christmas. It is hoped to visit the other schools in the new year.
