Clondrohid 4-11, Shamrocks 1-11
The curtain came down on our minor football season last night above in St. Vincents when we were beaten in the minor football league final. We have lost three times this season in the minor football and all to Clondrohid. They beat us in the league, the semi final of the championship and also in the league final. In fact we finished on top of the league only to lose out in the final play off. The lads can feel very proud of themselves for the effort, time and committment that they gave us this season. Indeed some of them also are also involved with the junior set up. The score line didn’t reflect on the way the game was played. At the half time whistle the sides were level at 1-03 to 0-06. Clondrohid got the early break through in the second half and we had to play catch up. With seven minutes to go there was still only a kick of a ball between the two teams. Clondrohid finished the stronger and ran out worthy winners at the end. We would like to wish them the best of luck in their quest for county honours in both the league and championship.
