Shamrocks 3-12, Ballymartle 0-6

 

Shamrocks travelled to Riverstick on Tuesday evening to play Ballymartle. Shamrocks started well with captain Joe Shanahan finding the net in the first minute of the game. Steven Keane and Coby O’ Grady getting a point each. Shamrocks were well on top with Alan McCarthy fielding some great ball with his mid field partner Barry Mulqueen. Joe Shanahan got two more fine points along with Darragh O’ Sullivan getting a point of his own the full forward line were scoring at will and when Steven Keane got a goal just before half time Shamrocks lead by 2-6 to Ballymartle 6 pts.

 

The second half started well with Joe getting a point and Darragh O’  Sullivan finding the net with a well placed shot. Ballymartle tried hard to break down the Shamrocks back line but could find no way through with some great defendin. Shanahan got two more points followed by Steven Keane, Darragh O’ Sullivan and Alan McCarthy. Shamrocks ran out convincing winners 3-12 to 6pts.
