JAHL V Ballinhassig – 15/5

Ballinhassig 2-21, Shamrocks 1-16

On a beautiful May evening at Shanbally there were scores aplenty when Shamrocks entertained the Blues in the JHL.

This match was closely contested in the opening half and at the break the score saw Ballinhassig in front 1-10 to 1-8.
The blues started the second half in high gear with their former senior man Darren Dineen adding some long range points. Shamrocks finished strongly and seven of the team were among the scorers. This was their best scoring effort this season and the team spirit and determination must be commended too. Great goal efforts by Joe Shanahan and Captain Senan Collins were inches on the wrong side of the post. Cathal Kidney and Ronan Murphy put in sterling performances. This all augers well for the future.
