Shamrocks 1-10, Tracton 1-8
This was a tense dour struggle in poor playing conditions with Shamrocks recording a credible victory. Both teams recorded early goals but scores were difficult to come by on the wet and slippery surface. At half time Shamrocks led 1-5 to 1-3.
On the turnover Tracton went up a gear and scored three unanswered points to go into the lead. To give credit to the Shamrock lads they got the bit between their teeth and finished strongly. Their levels of fitness helped in no small way and when referee Nathan Wall blew the final whistle they were ahead by two points, a just reward for their efforts.
The team needed this win as they prepared for their championship outing on April 13th.
