Shamrocks 2-13, Valley Rovers 2-7
Shamrocks were playing their second game in the Junior Hurling League and after losing to Kinsale in round one a win was imperative.
The team on duty did just that and this game was played on very difficult ground conditions. Early on players were rusty as there was a gap of one month since the Kinsale game. At halftime Valley Rovers led 2-3 to 0-5. The second half saw Shamrocks coming more into the game and most importantly picking off some fine scores to seal a deserved victory.
Well done to all the players and of course there were some fine individual performances too.
