Shamrocks 6-6 ,Tracton 0-6
Shamrocks got their season off to a winning start with a comprehensive win over Tracton on Saturday afternoon last.
The gale force wind proved difficult for the lads to deal with throughout the game. Shamrocks played against it in the first half and this is where they laid the foundations for their victory as goals from David Andrews, Coby O’Grady, Killian Murphy and tom Murphy gave them a 4-2 to 0-6 HT lead turning to play with the wind.
The lads kept it tight in the second half and brought on some subs so everyone got plenty of game time on the day. Further scores from Darragh Scriven and Brian Coffan finished off the visitors challenge. They had played and beaten Cobh in Cobh on the Thursday night in a challenge game so they have gotten things off to a good start overall, along with good numbers and enthusiasm at training.
Training is on every Tuesday at 4.45pm at the pitch. The next match is at home to Brian Dillons next Saturday at 2pm.
