Juvenile AGM – 7/11

 

Shamrocks Juvenile Club held their AGM on Thursday November 7th in the Grace McCarthy Rooms, in the Clubhouse. It was a very positive meeting.
 
 

The outgoing chairperson John Twomey (Ringaskiddy), Rúnaí Patrick Andrews and Treasurer Paddy Andrews gave their comprehensive reports. The year was a much better one overall for the club with our 1st silverwars being won at Rebel Óg level. The club played 80 matches at underage level – by far and away the most the club has ever played.

The outgoing committee were elected en masse. Namely – John Twomey (Ringaskiddy, Chairperson), Peter Crowley (Vice Chairperson), Patrick Andrews (Secretary), Gemma Kavanagh (Assistant Secretary), Paddy Andrews (Treasurer), Patrick Andrews (Club PRO), Paddy Andrews (Rebel Óg East Board Delegate) with various proxies as the need arises during the year.

 
 
The mentors for the various teams for 2014 were laid out. More are to follow closer to the start of the season:

U’8 and U10’s – Seamus O’Flynn, Shane O’Donovan, Seanán Collins, Sid Kidney, Jamie Murphy.

U12’s – Aidan O’Leary, Brian Sweeney, John Herlihy + one more.

U14’s – Pa Andrews, Jed O’Flaherty, Colin O’Sullivan + one more.

U16’s – Kevin O’Grady, Seamus Barry, John Twomey (Ring) + 1 more.

Minor’s – David Nolan, Dick Andrews, Kevin O’Grady, Peter Crowley.

 

The meeting finished with topics such as Membership, Fundraising, the Winter Training Program and the Garda Vetting amongst others being discussed.

 

The chairperson John Twomey thanked everyone for coming to the meeting.
