Carraig na bhFear 4-8, Shamrockws 3-5
Carraig na bhFear won the league final in the Mon Field on Sunday morning. The game was mostly played in the rain, which made conditions difficult for both teams, especially ball handling.
Carraig na bhFear did all the damage in the first half when they scored a quick fire 3 goals to really put themselves in control of the game. They led by those 3 goals at half time. Shamrocks made a great effort in the second half but came up short as time ran out on their efforts. Among the goal scorers was Darragh Scriven while Mark Hitchmough kicked some nice points from play.
The team has had a great season and made great progress across all levels. Thanks to the players, parents, supporters and the mentors Kevin O’Grady, Peter Crowley, David Nolan and Dick Andrews for a great year of progress.
