St Catherines 9-11, Shamrocks 5-7
Shamrocks were well beaten by the championship winners in Ballynoe on Monday evening. It was obvious from early on that Catherines were going to win easy; however the Shamrocks players battled on throughout in the face of severe pressure from the home side.
John Herlihy did a fine job of reffing the game as the apointed referee didnt arrive. Himself and Noel Murphy have battled numerous problems with the team this year and have managed to get them to play all their matches in both hurling and football when lesser efforts would have resulted in walkovers given. Our thanks go to them.
The u14 season is now over and the players who are 14 this year will move on to u16 in 2014, training to resume in January/February.
