Shamrocks played 3 Blitz Hurling games on Saturday morning last in Ballinhassig.
They beat Courcey Rovers and Carrigaline in close games. They drew with Kinsale in the other. Overall, the management were happy with the standard from the Shamrocks players.
Shamrocks had 8 players and with the consent of the opposition, Shamrocks played all games 8-a-side. They had a mixture of young and old and all played excellently.
Players – Michael Foy, Josh Bartlett, Aidan Brady, Eoin O’Flynn, Cian Lynch, Harry O’Leary, Cathal O’Donovan & Barry O’Mahony.
Again, the team had wonderful support and thanks to all for making the effort.
This was the last u8 Blitz of the year. The lads have had a very good run this summer and they all enjoyed their games.
Obviously, they will need to refine their basic skills and hopefully the return of the Academy will assist with this.
