Shamrocks played in the u8 Monster Football blitz on Saturday morning in Riverstick in great conditions.
These are 7 a side games and on this occasion, Shamrocks entered 2 teams, of equal ability. While once again scores are not kept, its pleasing to note that Shamrocks beat both Courcey Rovers teams and both Balinora teams, while losing to both Valley Rovers teams.
Shamrocks had a very young panel out; some of the players were playing their first ever game of competitive sport. One stand out performer was Cian Lynch, who is only in Junior Infants.
Overall, managers Seamus O’Flynn and Shane O’Donovan, who are doing great work with this group, were very pleased with the mornings work from Shamrocks.
