Recent deaths in the Parish

It was with much regret that we learned of the death of Mrs. Joan Fitzgerald, Marian Terrace, Shanbally. One of the village’s most respected ladies, she was a native of Charleville in North Cork.
Her late husband Gerald, was a Vice-president of the Club. In the recent year she enjoyed a jackpot win in the Clubs weekly lotto.
She will be sadly missed by her family, neighbours and many friends. Ar dheis De go raibh a hAnam dilis.

Seán Flaherty of Ringaskiddy and late of The Marsh, has also been called to his reward.
One of life’s true gentlemen, he was a wonderful extrovert with fine voice to entertain in song and story. Seán is one of the last natives of the original Marsh, one of the oldest and historic parts of Ringaskiddy. Seán worked in Dunlops for many years and wherever he went he was hugely popular. His pleasant manner endeared him to many.
Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife and family, many relatives and large circle of friends. Ni beidh a leithéad ann arís agus ar dheis Dé go raibh a Anam dílis.
