The Juvenile Section of the club held its AGM on Thursday night last before an encouraging attendance. Topics such as fixtures, playing numbers, mouthguards, lack of games and how to promote our games etc were debated at length. Outgoing officers John Twomey, Patrick Andrews and Paddy Andrews presented their comprehensive reports.
The Officers elected on the night were :
Chairman – John Twomey (Ringaskiddy), Vice Chairman – Peter Crowley, Secretary – Patrick Andrews, Assistant Secretary – Gemma Kavanagh, Treasurer – Paddy Andrews, East Board Delegates – Paddy Andrews, Patrick Andrews & Peter Crowley (both Proxy). The Adult Club will elect PRO and Registrar next Monday to serve the juvenile club as well.
The following are confirmed mentors for the various teams in 2013:
U8 – Seamus O’Flynn, Shane O’Donovan
U10 – Seamus O’Flynn, Richard Murphy.
U12 – Pa Andrews, Jed O’Flaherty, Aidan O’Leary
U14 – John Herlihy, Tim Hayes, Noel Murphy
U16 – David Nolan, Dick Andrews, Peter Crowley, Kevin O’Grady,
Minor – Kieran Lynam (manager), Kevin O’Mahony, John Twomey (Ringaskiddy).
The chairman finished the meeting by paying tribute to John Jordan who will be finishing up next month as our FÁS worker.
