AGM – 15/1/13

The Shamrocks held their delayed AGM last Monday night in the Grace McCarthy Room.

In a AGM that went off swiftly and efficently, the outgoing Secretary, Treasurer and Chairman delivered their as usual comprehensive and wide ranging reports to the assembled audience.

The election of officers followed and all officers from 2012 remain the same apart from 2 changes – Dave O’Flaherty was elected the new Secretary, replacing his brother Finbarr. Tributes were paid to Finbarr for his 11 year stint on the Executive; Im sure we’ll see him back in some capacity in the future. As a result of Dave taking up his new position, there was a vacancy as South East Board delegate alongside Declan O’Neill and John Herlihy was elected to this position.

All team managements were entering their second of two years in their positions and will stay on in 2013. U21 was set aside for the first meeting of the new Executive Committee, probably to be held next week as the football starts in 6/7 weeks. Meanwhile, we’ve yet to see the majority of the under 21’s at training. Junior training is for them as well, the schedule is well known at this stage.

The meeting finished with a prayer for all deceased members and friends of the club.
