Camp Ciarán – Lá 2

Day 2 was hit by the “weather spoilsport” but plan B was brought into action and all the participants were transported to the National Maritime College, Ringaskiddy.

The magnificent gym hall was a secure and ideal alternative location, thanks to the good thinking and planning of our Under Age Chairman John Twomey. Coaches and children adapted immediately to mainfest an excellent session as the rains relentlesly poured down outside. Thanks to Parents and Guardians and friends who helped with transport from Pairc Tadgh O-Ainlaoi to the College.

The only regret was that we missed out on tea, toast and marmalade which our head of catering , the one and only Geraldine, had prepared in the Club’s kitchen.   There is a rumour going around that Club Chairman, Pat McCarthy, who was on duty, consumed the lot.
