Shamrocks 7-14,Ballyphehane 1-1
The home team Shamrocks had an easy win over an under strength Ballyphehane in Shanbally on Saturday afternoon last. This league is proving to be hard to figure out with many teams not having been graded properly. Shamrocks lost to Whitechurch by 38 points by won this one by 30 and indeed it could have been more but for some sloppy play in front of goal, which the coaches will look at in training during the week (Monday at 4.30pm) and Wednesday at 5pm (hurling).
The selectors made various changes throughout the game to try and mix things up. To list the scorers would be unfair as everyone played their part. The only disappointing aspect was that het again, we only had 13 players.
