The players and some members of the Executive held a meeting in the Grace McCarthy rooms on Thursday night last. Firstly, Liam Shanahan, John Towmey (Ringaskiddy and Underage Club) and Michael Kidney (Ladies Club) spoke about the upcoming Fundraiser for Floodlights, taking place on Saturday October 29th. The sponsorship cards were given out to the players.
There was a review of the year in both Hurling and Football, with both management and players expressing their views in an open forum. Some of the main points raised were the fact that the players overall need more committment to the club and the timing of fixtures etc. It was stressed that current players would be the preferred choice to run the under 21 teams in 2012.
Declan Bray said that indoor training will start in the NMCI Ringaskiddy at the start of November, probably on Tuesday nights, the club are in the process of booking the venue once a week.
