The Sam Maguire Cup, accompanied by Cork dual star Eoin Cadogan, visited the Primary Schools of the Parish last Thursday (February 10th). A great day was ensured for all the local boys and girls, many of whom play with the juvenile club. They were decked out in theirCork colours which made for a great sight; and of course they posed for that all important photograph with the most famous cup in Irish sport. Our thanks to John Twomey (Shanbally) who organised the availability of the cup, to Eoin Cadogan himself who stayed around all morning; and to the management of the 3 schools for allowing the kids a break from the all important classwork. Lets hope to see this day occuring over and over again (maybe with the Liam McCarthy?).
