U8 Hurling Blitz – 23/5

Shamrocks travelled this morning to Innishannon to take part in the latest u8 Hurling blitz. For the first time in quite a while, we managed to field 2 teams and credit is due to the boys that made themselves available.

It was a fantastic morning for hurling and the conditions suited our lads who proceeded to give an excellent account of themselves.

In all we played 6 games (20 mins duration each) and we were well up to the standard.

Unfortunately, one of our players, Luke Jordan, picked up a nasty leg injury in the first game and was unable to continue.

The good news is that he is recovering well and is raring to go to the next blitz!

Best wishes, Luke and your spirit is admirable!

Again, we were tremendously supported and thank you to grandparents, parents, siblings etc for travelling in big numbers.

Next u8 blitz is in 2 weeks and texts will be sent closer to the time.

I would call on all the players to practise their skills at home as this is where all the hard work is done.

Special thanks to Stephen Keane for his assistance this morning.
