Shamrocks U15s played their second football championship match away to Passage last night in sweltering conditions. Shamrocks fielded a very young team due to holidays and injuries. This team consisted of eight of our u13 team and against a very strong, well trained and disciplined team found the going very tough indeed. The game was over as a contest mid way through the first half. Great credit is due to our team who kept going to the very end and never gave up. This was of great encouragement to the management team.
The highlight of the evening was a trip to the local beach in Loughbeg where the team chilled out and then enjoyed some snacks provided by the parents. Both the u13 and u15 team have a no games next week but will continue training. The club would like to thank all the players who made themselves available last night to fullfill the fixture. We would also like to wish a speedy to our injured players and for those on holidays to enjoy themselves. Thanks also to the parents who supported the team and for supervising on the beach last night.
