Garda Vetting

 

The following are the instructions on how to undergo Garda Vetting – the club are strongly recommending anyone who hasnt already done so (through the GAA) and who will be working with children in the club under the ages of 18 to follow the outlined procedures –

 

1) Log on to Gaa.ie

2) Scroll to bottom of page and in the Quick links section click on vetting

3) Association is GAA

4) Co. Board is Cork

5) Club is Shamrocks

6) Club position/ role. Type Coach/manager/ administrator/committee etc

7) Related to Feile is No

8) Gaa membership number. Ignore

9) First name

10) Surname

11) Date of birth. Type in the following format dd/mm/year

12) Age. This will enter automatically

13) Email address

14) Verify email address

15) Address 1. Required

16) Address 2. Required

17) Address 3Not required if none

18) County. Cork

19) Post Code. Not required if you don’t have one

20) Country. Ireland

21) Phone number is not required

22) Mobile number IS required

23) I have furnished my club’s office my ID. Documentation furnished. Click YES

24) I have furnished my club’s office my ID. Documentation scanned. Click No

25) Click Submit.

 

 

You will then get a reference number similar to GAA-C-2798-(5 digit number).

 

 

You will then receive an email within a few days and will have to fill in a second form. On this you will require all your previous addresses, passport number, criminal record (If any). 

 

Once this is submitted the club will receive a notification of your application. You will the get an email back stating if your application was successful or not. Your vetting certificate will be attached. The club will also receive a copy
