Well done to all 21 coaches who have participated in and completed the Award 1 coaching course in the club over the past two Saturdays. The course was 16 hours long so required a decent level of committment. Shamrocks had members from mostly the Juvenile section and Girls Football and it was great to see six members of our current minors (or just out of minor) making vital contributions and completing the course.
Shamrocks are now hopefully set up for many years of top level coaching with up to 90% of our current Juvenile team mentors at Award 1 level – you will travel very far before you will meet a figure like that. Also, thanks to the two tutors who facilitated the course over the past two weekends – Brendan O’Driscoll (St Finbarrs) and Shamrocks own Pa Andrews.
