Shamrocks 10-5, Kilmichael 7-11
Our under 12 footballers played Kilmichael in Shanbally last Tuesday evening. It was the first time this year that we had a full panel to choose from so expectations were high before throw in. Our lads raced into an early lead with goals from David O Sullivan, Joseph O Keeffe and Shane Flavin and could of had a few more but for some great saves from the visiting goalkeeper. The scoreboard read Shamrocks 4-4 Kilmichael 1-7 at half time.
Kilmichael started brightly in the second half and scored a few goals in the opening minutes but our lads got a couple back to ensure that our supporters went home happy having witnessed a highly entertaining contest. Team on duty were Adam Jones, Cathal Murphy, Evan Seymour, Michael Hammet, James Lynam, Daniel O Mahony, Cillian Hayes, Steven Fox, Ruairi Mehigan, Joseph O Keeffe, David O Sullivan, Dylan O Flaherty, David Fox, Shane Flavin, Shane Downey and Keith O Donoghue Howe.
