Shamrocks 0-8, Bandon 4-16
Shamrocks were extremely short for this particular game and paid the ultimate price against a Bandon team who knew how to hurl. Some of the players who havent featured this year much got the full hour and the players on duty cannot be faulted for effort. The strong breeze blowing right down the pitch and the slippery conditions in the second half made it difficult at time. Shamrocks played with the elements in the first half but Bandon, playing up the hill, were sharper in that period and led 2-10 to 0-5 at halftime. They were always going to win but Shamrocks rejigged the team a bit and we saw a better performance from the home side against the elements despite the scoreline, some of the new younger players showing up well.
